The other day on my weekly shop at Tesco I found some Thai brand cocoa cereal and thought I have to try it – at 20 Baht a packet it was no big expense, unlike buying any imported cereal where you almost pay double what you would pay in the country of origin.
So the next day I sat down to eat a bowl of my Copp cereal, and as you do when you are eating cereal I started to read the back of the packet. Given the majority of it was in Thai it was quite a quick read but then I noticed the company details. With a name like European Snack Food Co it is quite easy to imagine what they might produce.
But what I did wonder was why a company would spend money on designing packaging and making their product look professional…
…then not invest in an email address but instead choose to use company.name@gmail.com, or hotmail.com, yahoo.com etc.
Maybe it’s just a little bit cheaper, or maybe when English isn’t your native language it doesn’t matter so much?
So funny!
